FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) – Authorities in Fort Lauderdale have released surveillance video in hopes of finding leads in a tragic drive-by shooting that resulted in two fatalities and three injuries outside a corner store.
The footage, made public on Thursday, shows 28-year-old Tiarra Holliday calmly crossing the street towards the store on Monday evening. On the other side of the street, Holliday’s 2-year-old son Deagoo was with his uncle, who was dressed in blue.
As Holliday approached the store, a silver sedan with dark tinted windows pulled up and slowed down. A passenger in the vehicle then opened the rear door and began firing shots.

Although Holliday managed to enter the store, she succumbed to her injuries. Meanwhile, Deagoo’s uncle and a man identified as 45-year-old Sheldon Lawrence, who was by a tree near the uncle, were also hit.
In total, five people were injured in the shooting, with Holliday and Lawrence tragically losing their lives. Deagoo, the toddler, sustained a gunshot wound to the head, requiring surgery and breaking his leg.
Shontrelle Holliday, Tiarra’s mother and Deagoo’s grandmother, shared that the family is holding onto hope for the young boy’s recovery. The incident has left the community shocked and searching for answers.
Appeal for Information
Fort Lauderdale Police spokesperson Casey Liening urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward. Witnesses are crucial in piecing together what happened and identifying the individuals responsible for the heinous act.
Authorities are particularly interested in locating the occupants of the silver car involved in the shooting. The released surveillance video serves as a valuable tool in the investigation.
