The Wright County Sheriff’s Office has reported an arrest made in Marysville Township after an incident early Sunday evening. Deputies were called to the area of 5992 20th Street Southwest just before 6 PM in response to a reported gun pointing incident.

According to officials, a party reported that an adult male driving a burgundy-coloured Buick had allegedly pointed what appeared to be a firearm at a neighbour who was riding a UTV in the vicinity.

Following the report, deputies and a Howard Lake Police Officer located the suspect vehicle a short distance away near the corner of 20th Street Southwest and Greer Avenue Southwest. The driver, identified as 31-year-old Tanner Wyze of Cokato, was taken into custody after being seen exiting a wooded area.

Wyze has since been arrested and booked for charges of DUI and Disorderly Conduct. Despite a search conducted with the assistance of a K-9 unit, no firearm was found in the area or within the suspect’s vehicle.
