The incident involved two vehicles, with the driver of one of the cars, a 46-year-old man from Peyton, veering off the side of the road. In a desperate attempt to correct his course, he ended up driving into oncoming traffic between Judge Orr Road and Stapleton Road (a continuation of Curtis Road), resulting in a head-on collision with another car carrying three individuals, CSP reported.

Regrettably, the driver deemed responsible for the crash sustained serious injuries. In the second car, a 41-year-old man from Peyton, along with a 12-year-old and a 9-year-old, were passengers. Tragically, the man and the 12-year-old lost their lives at the scene, while the 9-year-old suffered severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

CSP has indicated that alcohol and speed are being investigated as potential contributing factors to the crash, which is still under thorough examination. As of Thursday morning, the identities of those involved have not yet been disclosed.
