Two teenage boys have been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the tragic shooting death of a 16-year-old boy in Toronto’s west end earlier this week.
Incident Details
On Monday, shortly after midnight, Toronto police responded to reports of gunshots heard inside an apartment building in the Parkdale neighbourhood, near the intersection of King Street West and Jameson Avenue.
Upon entering a unit in the building, officers discovered a male victim who had sustained gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim, identified as 16-year-old Mohamed Doumbouya, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Suspects Arrested
The two accused individuals, aged 16 and 17, have been taken into custody and are facing charges of second-degree murder. Due to their age, their identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
