Accident – Death – Obituary News : In a disturbing incident that has shocked the residents of Andhra Pradesh’s Nandyala district, a nine-year-old girl was gang-raped and murdered by three juvenile boys. The tragic event took place when the victim was playing in a park on Sunday, and was molested by the boys before being pushed into the Mucchumarri Lift Irrigation canal. Nandyala Superintendent of Police, K Raghuveera Reddy, revealed that the perpetrators, aged 12 and 15 years old, knew the victim and hailed from the same village.

The young girl had been reported missing since Sunday, prompting her father to file a missing person report with the local police. Despite extensive search efforts and inquiries with local residents, the girl could not be located. However, a breakthrough came when a sniffer dog led the authorities to the three minor boys. Subsequently, during police interrogation, the boys confessed to their heinous crime of raping and killing the young girl.
This tragic incident is not an isolated case of juvenile crimes in Andhra Pradesh. Earlier in May this year, four individuals were arrested in Mandavalli for allegedly recording and circulating a video of a girl being raped by a juvenile. The victim, a minor, had gone to a government school in Chintapadu village to collect books when she was lured by the juvenile perpetrator, a Class-10 student. The arrested culprits, known to the perpetrator, filmed the assault and shared the footage with multiple people.
These appalling incidents highlight the urgent need for stricter measures to prevent juvenile crimes and protect vulnerable individuals in society. The authorities must take decisive action to ensure justice for the victims and prevent such horrific acts from recurring in the future.
