BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday night as a Gardendale man lost his life after being shot on the interstate. Birmingham police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 at the 32nd Avenue exit, just before 11 p.m. Upon arrival, authorities discovered that the car had collided with the median, and the driver, identified as 55-year-old Jonathan Lenair Bradberry, had sustained gunshot wounds.
Bradberry was swiftly transported to UAB Hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries. It is believed that he was shot while driving on the interstate, leading to the subsequent crash.
