The main suspect in a triple murder along King Street in St James on Tuesday has voluntarily surrendered to the police. Identified as 32-year-old John Roach, he was named as a person of interest in the investigations on Wednesday.

The victims of this tragic incident have been identified as 62-year-old fisherman David West, 26-year-old Rashaun Williams, and 17-year-old student Jaydon Bennett, all residents of Upper King Street in St. James.

Reports of a shooting in the area were received by the police around 5:05 p.m. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers were met with gunfire. Following the exchange, the police team conducted a thorough search of the area and discovered the three men in different sections of the community, all suffering from gunshot wounds.

Despite being rushed to the hospital for medical attention, the victims succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead.

Police Operation

Superintendent Eron Samuels, head of the St James Police, shared that after recovering two firearms (an illegal pistol and a shotgun) during the operation, the officers relentlessly pursued the main suspect, John Roach.

A second suspect, Kasheem ‘Borderline’ Lewis, has also been identified by the police, who are urging him to surrender himself for questioning.
