Joeboury Coleman : L.A. Man Arrested for Animal Cruelty: Puppy Dropped Down Stairwell

A man from Los Angeles has been taken into custody by the authorities after he was captured on surveillance footage dropping a 7-month-old puppy down an apartment staircase.

In the disturbing video, a shirtless individual identified as 27-year-old Joeboury Coleman is seen cruelly grabbing the dog by its collar, taking it to the stairway railing, and callously dropping the helpless animal.

Residents in the Koreatown neighbourhood alerted the LAPD after videos of the incident surfaced on social media, leading to the arrest of Coleman.

Coleman has pleaded not guilty to three felony charges of animal cruelty. He is currently being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 22 for a preliminary hearing, as confirmed by the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office.

Despite the horrific incident, there is a silver lining as the dog, although injured, managed to survive. In the video, the puppy can be seen bravely running back up the stairs after the fall.

The injured dog was promptly taken to a local animal shelter for treatment of a broken hind leg, which is consistent with a fall and may require surgical intervention, according to the authorities.
