A man was apprehended by law enforcement officials following a dramatic high-speed pursuit that unfolded on Interstate 285 in Cobb County on July 5.
The Cobb County Police Department sought assistance from the Atlanta Police Department after identifying the suspect as 28-year-old Jarrett Sharp, who was wanted for multiple offences.

During the chase initiated by CCPD, Sharp collided with a police vehicle, prompting officers to execute a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver.
After coming to a halt, Sharp attempted to flee on foot into the nearby woodland area adjacent to the highway but was swiftly apprehended by pursuing officers.
Bodycam footage released by APD, entitled “He’s a Runner, but Not a Track Star,” captured the moment Sharp was subdued and arrested, with the suspect audibly protesting as he was restrained.
Sharp was subsequently taken into custody and is facing a litany of charges, including aggravated assault on law enforcement, felony fleeing and eluding, obstruction, and numerous traffic violations.
