Four individuals lost their lives in a devastating single-vehicle accident in Mobile County, which also left a fifth person injured. The incident occurred on June 17, but the identities of the victims were only officially released by authorities on Thursday, July 11.

The victims have been identified as Jacoby R. Ruggs, aged 27, Sade Mose, aged 23, Jamariyah S. Thomas, aged 21, and Jaglen P. Robinson, aged 24. All four individuals resided in Mobile, with Mose and Thomas being cousins.

According to Senior Trooper Joshua Thompson, the tragic accident took place just after 6:30 a.m. on a Monday when the Honda Accord, driven by Ruggs, veered off Interstate 65, approximately 15 miles north of Mobile. The vehicle struck a culvert and overturned, resulting in the occupants being ejected from the car.

Ruggs, Mose, and Thomas were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash and were pronounced dead at the scene, along with Robinson. The sole survivor, 31-year-old Princeton M. Warren, sustained injuries and was rushed to the University of South Alabama Hospital for treatment.

Authorities cited that the delay in releasing the victims’ identities was due to the extensive investigation that followed the tragic incident.
