Accident – Death – Obituary News : Three individuals tragically lost their lives, and two others sustained injuries in separate shooting incidents across Philadelphia during the night of Wednesday and early Thursday morning.
The first incident occurred just after 2:30 a.m. on West Cumberland Street, where authorities discovered a 31-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her head. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a separate incident around 12:15 a.m., a 34-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds to both shoulders in the Frankford area. Despite being rushed to Temple University Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
Meanwhile, in Northeast Philadelphia at approximately 10:19 p.m., a 19-year-old named Hashim Gardner was fatally shot multiple times throughout his body. The perpetrator has not been apprehended, and no firearms have been recovered in connection with the killings.
Additionally, a 30-year-old man is currently in critical condition after being shot twice in the back on the 4200 block of Westminster Avenue around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday. Another incident occurred at 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday, where an 18-year-old man was targeted by a black sedan while standing outside his vehicle. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and is currently in critical but stable condition.

According to police data, up until July 11, a total of 135 individuals had lost their lives in Philadelphia this year due to gun violence, marking a 41% decrease compared to the same period in 2023.
