Andre Frazier : “Verona shoplifting suspect flees police with baby in hand”

A shocking incident unfolded in Verona as a shoplifting suspect, identified as Andre Frazier, 31, allegedly ran from police while carrying a 6-month-old baby on Wednesday.

The Verona police were alerted to the situation at the local Giant Eagle store located at 200 Allegheny River Boulevard around 4:30 p.m. According to reports, the suspect had previously shoplifted from the same store on Monday while accompanied by a young child, and returned on Wednesday.

It was noted by the police that Frazier was wearing the same clothing during both incidents, but this time, he had an infant with him.

Court documents reveal that when the police instructed Frazier to place the baby in a car seat, he refused and instead fled with the baby in his arms. He was seen running between cars on the road and eventually passing the baby off to a woman.

Despite orders from the authorities to stop, Frazier continued to evade capture. It took the intervention of a courageous bystander, who used his truck to block Frazier’s path, allowing the police to tase him. Despite falling down briefly, Frazier managed to get back up and resume his attempt to escape.

After a brief chase, Frazier was finally apprehended by the police. It was revealed that he was on parole for a previous drug delivery charge that resulted in a fatality.

As a result of this incident, Frazier now faces charges of child endangerment, evading arrest, and disorderly conduct.
