Andre Frazier : Man Accused of Theft from Giant Eagle Flees Police with Baby – WPXI

VERONA, Pa. — A shocking incident unfolded at a Giant Eagle store in Verona when a shoplifting suspect attempted to evade police while carrying a 6-month-old baby on Wednesday.

According to reports, Verona police responded to a call at the Giant Eagle located at 200 Allegheny River Boulevard around 4:30 p.m. The store manager informed authorities that the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Andre Frazier, had shoplifted from the store earlier in the week with a young child and had returned on Wednesday.

Remarkably, Frazier was reportedly wearing the same outfit during both incidents, but this time, he had an infant in his arms.

Court documents reveal that when police instructed Frazier to place the baby in a car seat, he refused and instead fled on foot while carrying the infant.

Eyewitnesses claim Frazier ran through the traffic, eventually handing the baby off to a woman before continuing his escape.

Despite orders from the authorities to stop, Frazier persisted in his attempt to flee. It took the intervention of a vigilant citizen, who used his truck to block Frazier’s path, allowing police to subdue him with a taser. However, Frazier managed to get back on his feet and tried to evade capture once again.

After a brief chase, Frazier was finally apprehended by the police. Shockingly, it was revealed that he was on parole for a previous drug delivery incident that resulted in a fatality.

Frazier now faces charges of child endangerment, evading arrest, and disorderly conduct in connection with the incident.
