DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – Authorities in Dunwoody have confirmed the identity of the man who tragically lost his life in a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 285 West in the early hours of Monday morning.
Victor Dimas-Paniagua, aged 38 and a resident of Doraville, has been named as the victim of the devastating crash that occurred just before 4:45 a.m. near the Chamblee Dunwoody Road exit.
Reports indicate that a total of six vehicles were involved in the incident, which actually comprised two separate collisions. The aftermath of the crashes necessitated the closure of four lanes of the highway, leading to significant traffic congestion stretching all the way back to the notorious Spaghetti Junction interchange.
Emergency response teams swiftly attended the scene and transported five other individuals to nearby medical facilities for treatment of injuries that were fortunately deemed non-life-threatening. At present, no further updates have been provided regarding the condition of these victims.
