Authorities in San Francisco have announced that a teenage girl has been located and a suspect arrested following a reported kidnapping at the Powell Street station on Tuesday night.

According to the BART police, the incident occurred around 8 p.m. when a man forcibly removed the girl from the station and placed her into a vehicle. Witness statements and surveillance video from Powell Street Station confirmed the report.

After the incident, the parents of the teen filed a missing person’s report. In the early hours of Wednesday, San Francisco police located the suspect, identified as 37-year-old Jamall Blue, and a vehicle associated with the case. Blue was taken into custody.

The teen was also found on Wednesday morning and has been referred to juvenile services. Further details about the incident have not been disclosed at this time.

According to the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office, Blue is currently being held at the San Francisco County Jail without bail.
