Stephen Agee : “Naples Man Accused of Bicycle Assault and Harassment on 5th Avenue S.”

A man from Naples was apprehended by police after he allegedly threw his bicycle at a woman and caused a disturbance near the Starbucks located on 5th Avenue S. The Naples Police Department responded to multiple calls reporting a disorderly individual harassing people in the vicinity of the 700 block of 5th Avenue S on the morning of July 5.

Incident Details

At approximately 9:10 a.m., law enforcement officers arrived at the scene near Starbucks where they encountered the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Stephen Agee, throwing his bicycle and shouting at passersby. Agee was seated on a bench with a backpack beside him, close to his bicycle. Earlier in the day, police had instructed Agee to vacate the area following reports of him yelling at individuals and discarding his bicycle on the ground.

An eyewitness informed authorities that Agee had hurled his bike at a woman and verbally abused an elderly lady who was walking past. When officers attempted to arrest Agee, he became aggressive and resisted their efforts. During the transport to the police station, Agee allegedly kicked the door of the patrol car. Subsequently, he was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting officers without the use of violence.
