Accident – Death – Obituary News : Family members of a 3-year-old child who tragically lost his life on Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle were in the process of rushing him to Greene Memorial Hospital when a medic unit intercepted them and transported the child the rest of the way, according to Greene County Sheriff Scott Anger.

The heartbreaking incident unfolded at the family’s residence along North Bickett Road, where the child sustained fatal injuries. Despite the family’s prompt call to 911, which prompted the arrival of Greene County sheriff’s deputies and medics around 7:30 p.m., the child unfortunately never regained consciousness.
Sheriff Anger expressed the unexpected nature of the accident, stating, “No one had any indication where the child was at that exact time and was not able to be seen. The resident was leaving to pull out of the gate and at that time unknowingly struck the child.”
The sheriff emphasized that the situation has been incredibly challenging for all those involved, expressing heartfelt sympathy for the family. “Our hearts just go out to the family,” he remarked, acknowledging the immense difficulty of grappling with such a tragedy.
