A woman is currently in the hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound to the head in Akron on Tuesday morning, as confirmed by police officials in the area.
According to Akron Police Sgt. Mike Murphy, the incident took place at approximately 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, in the 800 block of Concord Ave. Following the shooting, a 45-year-old woman was apprehended for questioning by authorities.
The victim, a 33-year-old woman, was swiftly transported to Akron City Hospital in critical condition post the shooting. As of now, her current condition remains undisclosed.
The motive behind the shooting remains unknown at this point in time, with investigations ongoing to determine the circumstances leading up to the incident.
