A man from Bangor is facing charges after an alleged assault on Wednesday morning that resulted in a woman being brought to a local hospital for treatment. The incident, which took place at a residence on Union Street, left the woman with injuries that were deemed non-life-threatening by authorities.
Police Response
The Bangor Police Department received a call around 6 a.m. reporting a woman who was seen bleeding from her arm and calling for help. Sergeant Jason McAmbley stated in a news release that officers quickly responded to the scene to investigate the situation.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found the woman outside the residence, claiming to have been assaulted just prior to their arrival. The suspect, identified as 52-year-old Rob Gray, was located sitting on the steps outside the property and was subsequently taken into custody following interviews with the injured woman and witnesses.
Charges Filed
Gray has been charged with aggravated assault, a serious felony offence, as well as a violation of conditions of release. He was transported to jail to await further legal proceedings.

Victim’s Treatment
The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was promptly taken to a nearby hospital to receive medical care for her injuries. Fortunately, medical professionals determined that her condition was not life-threatening.
