Authorities in Prince William County are investigating a shooting incident that occurred outside the Manassas Mall on Tuesday afternoon. The altercation, which started inside the mall, escalated into gunshots being fired in the mall’s parking lot.

According to reports, the incident stemmed from a fight between two groups at the mall’s food court, which quickly escalated when individuals from both groups brandished firearms. The situation turned chaotic as gunfire erupted in the parking lot, sending shoppers and bystanders into a panic.

One witness, Muhammad Tahir, described the harrowing experience of being caught in the crossfire. Tahir, who was smoking a cigarette in the parking lot at the time, recounted how he had to take cover behind a car to avoid the barrage of bullets flying around him.

As the chaos unfolded, Tahir recalled a moment when he came face-to-face with one of the armed individuals. “I saw a guy with the gun in between the doors and when he came outside, he was shooting, just shooting,” Tahir said. “I was just in front of him, so I just started running. He was brutally straight-firing. People were crying. Kids were crying.”

Following the shooting, two individuals were injured, including 23-year-old Skyler Agley, who was identified as one of the suspects involved. Agley remains hospitalized and is expected to face charges of malicious wounding and firearm offenses. Additionally, 18-year-olds Daevon Russell and Johsuah Hernandez were arrested and charged with similar offenses in connection to the incident.

As the investigation continues, witnesses like Nora Hernandez express concern over the safety of public spaces, emphasizing the need for increased vigilance and security measures to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
