Manhunt ends as police locate suspect in crossbow killings of BBC commentator’s family

British authorities have located the man suspected of killing BBC radio commentator John Hunt’s wife and two daughters with a crossbow near Enfield in north London. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Kyle Clifford, was found with injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment. Police have stated that they did not fire any shots during the apprehension of the suspect.

The victims have been identified as Carol Hunt, 61, John Hunt’s wife, and their daughters, aged 25 and 28. The tragic incident took place at a residence in Bushey, where the women were discovered dead on Tuesday evening. Hertfordshire Police had earlier identified Clifford as the suspect, although they have not confirmed any direct connection between him and the victims. British media reports suggest that Clifford may have been a former boyfriend of one of the daughters.

Chief Superintendent Jon Simpson described the events at the home in Bushey as “horrific,” indicating that a crossbow was likely used in the attack, alongside potentially other weapons. Armed officers and search teams were deployed to pursue Clifford, with Simpson urging him to surrender to the authorities and advising the public against approaching him.
