A road in Miami County has been closed after a tree knocked down a power line early Wednesday morning, causing a hazardous situation for residents in the area.
Authorities were alerted to the incident around 1:30 a.m. and quickly dispatched Miami County Sheriff’s deputies and Bradford firefighters to James Street and S Miami Avenue in Bradford. Initial reports indicated that wires were down and posing a threat to public safety.
As a precautionary measure, the road has been closed to traffic to allow emergency crews to assess the situation and work towards resolving the issue. Residents are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
