Authorities in Lincoln have made a significant breakthrough in a homicide investigation, leading to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer. 20-year-old Eliza Lussier was taken into custody by Lincoln Police on Tuesday and has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Following intensive surveillance, police executed a search warrant at an apartment located near North 35th Street and Baldwin Avenue. It was during this operation that they observed Lussier engaging in a drug deal outside the property, prompting further action.

An affidavit revealed that during the search, authorities uncovered a substantial amount of illicit substances, including 30.1 grams of marijuana and 354.3 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms. In addition, two digital scales and other drug paraphernalia were seized from the premises.

The search was originally conducted in connection with the killing of 25-year-old Francisco Alvis on Saturday, but the discovery of the drugs has added a new dimension to the investigation. The exact nature of the evidence sought by the police has not yet been disclosed.

Eliza Lussier has been remanded in custody at the Lancaster County Jail, with her bond set at 10% of $350,000. She is scheduled to appear in court on August 15 for further proceedings.
