Accident – Death – Obituary News : In a shocking revelation in court, a “manipulative predator” was exposed for using his limousine business as a facade to groom and sexually abuse young girls in Rotherham. David Saynor, aged 76, lured his victims under the guise of offering them promotional work for his brand, only to then ply them with drugs and alcohol before subjecting them to rape or assault. The disturbing details of his crimes came to light at Sheffield Crown Court recently, where Saynor, who currently resides in Mayall Court, Waddington, Lincolnshire, was found guilty of a series of child sex abuse offenses dating back to 2005. His sentencing is scheduled for 15 August.

During the trial, it was disclosed that Saynor’s victims were between the ages of 12 and 17 at the time of the incidents, which spanned from 2005 to 2017. Saynor would often target his victims by picking them up from schools or care homes in his stretched Hummer limousine, or by taking them to and from teenage discos in Rotherham. He would offer the girls money for cigarettes, food, or occasionally drugs, and would actively encourage them to contact him for rides or to bring along their friends. In a chilling instance, Saynor threatened a young victim he assaulted by claiming he knew where her family lived and would harm them if she spoke out about the abuse.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) arrested Saynor in 2020 as part of Operation Stovewood. Following a five-week trial, he was convicted of multiple charges including rape, paying for sexual services of a child, meeting a child following sexual grooming, assault by penetration, sexual activity with a child, and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child. While he was acquitted of some charges, the severity of his crimes was undeniable.

Stuart Cobb, the NCA’s senior investigating officer, described Saynor as a “manipulative predator” who exploited his business to gain the trust of vulnerable young individuals. Cobb commended the bravery of the victims for coming forward and sharing their harrowing experiences. Saynor’s conviction marks the 34th individual to be found guilty of offenses related to child sexual abuse in Rotherham following investigations by Operation Stovewood.
