SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – A devastating incident occurred on the evening of Tuesday, as a fatal car crash took the life of a young 15-year-old boy on Interstate 91 in Springfield.
The Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene at approximately 4:30 p.m. following reports of a severe motor vehicle collision with multiple injuries on the northbound lanes of Route 91 near Exit 5 in Springfield.
Upon arrival, emergency responders found the vehicle involved in the crash and immediately provided medical assistance to the occupants until paramedics arrived at the scene.
Tragically, despite their efforts, the young occupant of the vehicle succumbed to his injuries sustained in the accident.
