OKLAHOMA CITY (KOCO) – A rising high school senior in Oklahoma City tragically drowned at Grand Lake while swimming with friends on Friday. Zach Tawwater, 18, jumped from the roof of a dock into the lake but failed to resurface, leading to a devastating loss for his community.

The news of Tawwater’s untimely passing has left many in shock, including Derek Washington, the president of Next Level Basketball, where Tawwater was a valued player. He was a strong presence on the court, known for his fearless approach and willingness to do whatever it takes for his team.”
