Accident – Death – Obituary News : Three adolescents have been apprehended in connection with the tragic death of a security guard in the heart of Mississippi’s capital city.

The Jackson Police Department initiated an investigation into a homicide at the M&M Food Express situated on the 500 block of Cooper Road. Through diligent detective work, it was uncovered that the victim, identified as 60-year-old Roy Love, was not only robbed but also fatally shot at this location at approximately 1:30 a.m.
Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade disclosed that the trio of teenagers, namely 17-year-old Trent Wooten, 16-year-old Kadaris Cohen, and 17-year-old Zaylon Norton, have been taken into police custody and charged with capital murder in relation to Love’s untimely demise.
Chief Wade further revealed that surveillance footage captured at the scene depicted the teenagers launching a vicious attack on the victim. Following the assault, the perpetrators callously stole Love’s weapon before utilizing a separate firearm to fatally wound the man.
In the aftermath of the heinous crime, two of the delinquents attempted to flee the scene on foot, while the third made a desperate escape on a bicycle before being apprehended by law enforcement officials.
