Police in Bungoma are currently detaining a self-proclaimed preacher who was discovered in possession of human body parts in his vehicle.
Authorities from Webuye East revealed that the body parts were found concealed in a carton by car wash attendants in Bungoma’s Masikhu market.
The suspect, identified as Levis Simiyu, is reportedly a pastor at a local church in Ndivisi.
An attendant was cleaning the boot when he noticed a partially burnt human leg protruding from a box, alongside other body parts.
“The young man abandoned his duties and was ready to leave early, until the petrol station manager took a glimpse at the eerie box,” police stated.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) confirmed that law enforcement was alerted to the scene.
“She immediately informed the police at Webuye station, who arrived promptly before the car owner could drive away,” the manager recounted.
The body parts have been transferred to Webuye Hospital morgue for further examination and analysis.
