A tragic incident unfolded in a Parkdale apartment unit, where a 16-year-old boy was the victim of a fatal shooting.
Authorities from the Toronto Police Service received a distress call reporting gunshots heard in the vicinity of 145 Jameson Avenue, close to King Street West, just after midnight on Monday.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the young victim with multiple gunshot wounds inside one of the apartment units. Despite their best efforts, the victim, identified as Mohamed Doumbouya, 16, from Toronto, was pronounced dead on-site.

Investigators have indicated that Mohamed was not a resident of the apartment, raising questions about the circumstances that led to his presence there at the time of the incident.
