The autopsy report of 23-year-old Katia Duenas Aguilar has revealed a shocking discovery – she was brutally stabbed almost 70 times, with at least 55 stab wounds and 13 incised wounds.

The tragic incident unfolded on May 18 when authorities from the Clarksville Police Department were called to a residence on Tiny Town Road, sparking an immediate homicide investigation.

Pfc. Duenas-Aguilar, a soldier stationed at Ft. Campbell and a member of the division’s Combat Aviation Brigade, hails from Mesquite, Texas. The Army spokesperson, Lt. Col. Tony Hoefler, expressed deep shock and sorrow over her untimely death, stating, “We are stunned by the death of Pfc. Duenas-Aguilar. In the meantime, we will continue to cooperate with Army and local investigative authorities on this matter.”

Joining the Army as an Information Technology Specialist in 2018, Pfc. Duenas-Aguilar was recognised for her service with two Army Achievement Medals, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon.

Despite active efforts by the Clarksville Police Department, no new information has been released as of July 9. Investigators confirmed on May 28 that they were pursuing active leads but were unable to disclose any details.
