ABBOTSFORD − In a heartbreaking turn of events, two young children were found stabbed to death in a home in Abbotsford. The victims, identified as children, were discovered alongside a female stabbing victim who was rushed to Marshfield Medical Center for treatment.

According to a news release from the Colby-Abbotsford Police Department, the incident was reported at 1:38 a.m. on Friday. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers found the two children deceased from stab wounds. A 29-year-old man, believed to be the suspect, was found inside the home and was subsequently arrested at the scene.

The suspect, who had self-inflicted stab wounds, was taken to the Colby-Abbotsford Police Department before being transferred to Marshfield Medical Center for medical attention. He is currently in custody at the Clark County Jail.

Motive Yet to be Determined

As of Tuesday morning, investigators have not been able to ascertain a motive for the tragic stabbing incident. The names of the victims have been withheld from the public, and the 29-year-old suspect has not been formally charged at this time.
