The body of a paddleboarder who had been missing for two days was found on Sunday in a lake in Sussex County, authorities have confirmed.
James Lee, a 61-year-old resident of Sandyston, disappeared on Friday night while paddleboarding on Kittatinny Lake. He fell off his stand-up paddleboard and failed to resurface, leading to his disappearance.
The alarm was raised at 6:44 p.m. on Friday at East Shore Trail after Lee was reported missing. Following an extensive search operation, his body was recovered on Sunday morning.
Authorities have stated that the investigation into Lee’s death is ongoing as they work to uncover more details surrounding the tragic incident.
