Two individuals from Erie, identified as Jamario Martin, 34, and Teana Thomas, 35, have been apprehended for their involvement in attempting to deposit fake checks at financial institutions in Cranberry Township and Franklin.

According to Franklin state police, employees at a bank along Route 322 in Cranberry Township reported that Martin and Thomas tried to deposit counterfeit checks amounting to $2,307.61 at the bank last Friday.
