GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett police have arrested a 61-year-old woman for murder after a man she allegedly set on fire passed away. The incident took place on June 1, when Hong T. Huynh reportedly threw Molotov cocktails to start fires at residences on Buckingham Court and Turners Ridge Drive.

According to investigators, Huynh not only set fire to properties but also threw gasoline on a man outside a home on Buckingham Court, resulting in the victim sustaining severe burns. The victim, identified as Thuy Huynh, succumbed to his injuries on June 25.

Following the victim’s death, the police have upgraded the charges against Hong T. Huynh to murder. However, the nature of the relationship between the suspect and the victim remains unclear.

Hong T. Huynh is currently being held without bond at the Gwinnett County jail pending further legal proceedings.
