Ghassan Zahran : Israeli Forces Kill Palestinian Boy in West Bank – Ministry

Israeli forces have been accused of killing a 13-year-old Palestinian boy near the city of Ramallah in the West Bank. The incident, which took place on Tuesday, has sparked outrage and condemnation from Palestinian authorities.

The victim, identified as Ghassan Gharib Zahran, was fatally shot in the town of Deir Abu Mash\’al. According to reports from the Palestinian Health Ministry, Israeli forces opened fire on a group of children, resulting in Zahran sustaining critical injuries.

Following the shooting, Zahran was rushed to the Palestinian Medical Complex in Ramallah, where he tragically succumbed to his wounds shortly after arrival.

In response to the incident, the Israeli military issued a statement claiming that their forces were forced to fire on Palestinians who were allegedly throwing rocks at their vehicles in the vicinity of Deir Abu Masha\’al. The statement read, “Israeli security forces at the scene responded by firing toward the terrorists. As a result, one of the terrorists was hit.”

The escalation of violence in the West Bank has been ongoing for over two years, with tensions reaching a boiling point following a recent attack on Israel by Hamas fighters from Gaza last October.

The killing of Zahran has reignited calls for justice and an end to the cycle of violence in the region. Palestinian authorities have condemned the incident and called on the international community to hold Israel accountable for its actions.
