PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) – Portland police have identified the man who was found dead in a motel parking lot after a shooting in the Madison South neighborhood late Saturday night.
The incident occurred just before midnight in the 3600 block of Northeast 82nd Avenue, where officers discovered the body of 25-year-old Donte Eugene Mathis, a resident of Portland.
An investigation into Mathis’ death has revealed that he was a victim of homicide, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
Police Investigation
The suspect or suspects responsible for the shooting had fled the scene before law enforcement arrived, and as of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
