MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) – A Moncks Corner man, identified as Christopher Brian Shiflet, aged 50, has been charged with multiple felonies following a routine traffic stop that uncovered a significant amount of narcotics.
According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office, deputies pulled over Shiflet’s vehicle on Tuesday evening for a minor traffic violation. During the stop, authorities discovered a large quantity of illegal drugs, including cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin.
Shiflet was immediately taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, trafficking illegal drugs, and driving under the influence. He is currently being held at the Berkeley County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
