MARION COUNTY, Fla. (Gray News) – In a bizarre turn of events, a woman suspected of driving under the influence was arrested in Marion County, Florida, after she pulled into a gas station and attempted to fuel her car during a traffic stop.

According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on S Highway 442 for speeding and erratic driving. The driver, identified as Christina Bermudez, was allegedly driving over 100 mph and weaving all over the road.

Despite being stopped by law enforcement, Bermudez appeared to be oblivious to the situation and proceeded to pull into a gas station to refuel her vehicle. The officer immediately noticed signs of impairment and initiated a DUI investigation.

Following further assessment, Bermudez was arrested and taken into custody. Upon testing, she reportedly provided a breath sample that indicated a blood alcohol content of .191, well above the legal limit. Additionally, she refused to sign the DUI citation.
