MARION COUNTY, Fla. (Gray News) – In a bizarre turn of events, a woman suspected of driving under the influence was caught attempting to fuel her car during a traffic stop in Marion County, Florida.
According to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, an officer pulled over a vehicle on S Highway 442 after observing it speeding and swerving erratically.
The driver, identified as Christina Bermudez, was reportedly seen driving recklessly, veering all over the road and exceeding 100 mph.
Despite the presence of law enforcement, Bermudez appeared unaware of the traffic stop and proceeded to pull into a gas station to refuel her vehicle.

Upon closer inspection, the officer noted that Bermudez exhibited clear signs of impairment, prompting a DUI investigation which later confirmed their suspicions.
Following her arrest, Bermudez was taken into custody and reportedly registered a breath alcohol concentration of .191, well above the legal limit.
Additionally, officials revealed that Bermudez refused to sign the DUI citation, further complicating the situation.
