Authorities in Boone, North Carolina, are on the lookout for a vehicle that struck two individuals before fleeing the scene in the early hours of Friday, June 21.

The incident occurred at midnight on Rivers Street, close to Bodenheimer Drive, in the vicinity of the Appalachian State Student Rec Center.

The Boone Police Department has described the suspect vehicle as a dark-coloured SUV or hatchback. They suspect that the vehicle may have sustained damage to one or both of its headlights during the collision.

Following the hit-and-run, the vehicle reportedly headed south on Bodenheimer Drive in an attempt to evade capture.
