Accident – Death – Obituary News : A woman was hospitalized on Monday following a collision between her vehicle and a grain truck near Prairieville township in Brown County.

The incident, which occurred around 9:55 a.m., involved a 2000 International Grain Truck travelling north on County Road 8 and a 2016 Ford Escape heading eastbound on Highway 14. The vehicles collided at the intersection, resulting in serious injuries to the 32-year-old female driver of the Ford Escape from Sleepy Eye. She was rushed to North Memorial Health for treatment of life-threatening injuries. A 71-year-old female passenger in the Ford Escape, also from Sleepy Eye, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the grain truck, a 77-year-old man from Springfield, Minnesota, emerged unscathed from the accident. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, all three individuals involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts, and alcohol is not believed to have played a role in the collision.
