FOXBORO, Mass — A man from the North Shore is on a mission to find a stranger who he says played a crucial role in saving his life at the Rolling Stones concert at Gillette Stadium.
Tony Palladino and his wife were eagerly awaiting the iconic rock band to kick off their performance on May 30th when tragedy struck. Palladino suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while seated in the third row, as the song ‘Start Me Up’ filled the stadium.

In a moment of sheer luck, a fellow concert-goer leaped into action from the first row and swiftly began administering CPR to Palladino. The swift and decisive actions of this unknown hero were nothing short of miraculous, according to Palladino.
Palladino, aged 78, recounted the events with gratitude towards both the stranger who intervened and the Foxboro first responders who quickly took over the life-saving efforts. “The woman who stepped in acted with incredible speed and skill,” he said. “It was a matter of seconds, and she had already begun CPR.”
Following the intervention, Palladino was swiftly transported to Mass General Hospital, where he underwent a successful double bypass surgery. The surgery revealed that one of his arteries was 99% blocked, while the other was 70% obstructed. Doctors credited the prompt CPR with contributing to the overall health of Palladino’s heart.
Reflecting on the incident, Palladino emphasized the importance of CPR training and its potential to save lives in critical situations. He is determined to track down the mystery woman who selflessly stepped in to save his life, expressing his deep gratitude and desire to thank her personally. “I owe her everything, and I would give her the biggest hug to show my appreciation,” he said.
