In a shocking incident in North Battleford, a female youth is facing multiple charges following an attempted robbery and serious assault on Sunday evening. The Battlefords RCMP received a distressing report at around 6 p.m., indicating a violent assault and attempted robbery at a residence in North Battleford.

Upon thorough investigation, it was revealed that a female youth approached a man on the 1200 block of 102 Street, demanding money from him. The situation quickly escalated as the man was viciously assaulted by the female suspect before she fled the scene. The victim sustained serious injuries and was promptly rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

In response to the alarming incident, law enforcement officers intensified their efforts to locate the female suspect. With invaluable assistance from the Saskatchewan RCMP Police Dog Services, the suspect was apprehended at approximately 8 p.m. after being discovered in a residence on 106th Street.

Subsequently, a 17-year-old female youth from North Battleford, whose identity remains protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is now facing a series of grave charges. The charges against her include aggravated assault, assault, robbery with a weapon, break and enter with intent, break, enter and commit, and failing to comply with a probation order.

The accused was slated to make a court appearance at the North Battleford Provincial Court on Monday to address the charges brought against her.
