A Hiawatha woman, Miranda Loehr, aged 31, was arrested on Sunday after being involved in a drinking and driving incident that resulted in a crash at Lake Macbride beach in Solon, Iowa.
According to a criminal complaint filed by the police, Loehr crashed her vehicle into a tree head-on. However, upon arrival at the scene, officers found the vehicle abandoned.
Eyewitnesses informed the police that the driver, later identified as Loehr, had exited the vehicle and was picked up by another vehicle before the authorities arrived.
Following a breathalyzer test, Loehr was found to have a blood alcohol level of .147 pbt. She later confessed to drinking and driving.

Miranda Loehr now faces charges of operating a vehicle while under the influence, failure to maintain control of the vehicle, and leaving the scene of an accident.
