Michael Daloise : “Michael Daloise Killed in Hit-and-Run on Salem Church Road, Newark DE”

A tragic hit-and-run incident in Newark, Delaware has left a community in shock as a pedestrian lost his life after being struck by a vehicle on Friday afternoon.

The victim, identified as 57-year-old Michael Daloise of Newark, Delaware, was walking along the right shoulder of Salem Church Road northbound, just north of Michaels Lane, when the incident occurred at approximately 4:14 p.m.

According to authorities, an unknown white vehicle travelling northbound veered onto the shoulder, striking Daloise before fleeing the scene. Despite efforts to save him, Daloise succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital.

Police are now on the lookout for the hit-and-run driver, describing the vehicle as having potential damage to the front right side. Any witnesses or individuals with information are urged to contact Senior Corporal M. Calio at 302-365-8483.
