The Halton Police have taken swift action following a daring robbery at Oakville Place Mall, resulting in the arrest of one suspect and a hunt for two others involved in the crime.

According to reports, the incident unfolded at approximately 6:00 PM, when three masked individuals brandishing knives targeted the WOW Mobile Cellphone kiosk located within the bustling mall. Despite the assailants’ attempts to instill fear, security personnel on duty sprang into action, managing to apprehend one of the suspects on-site. The arrested individual, identified as 19-year-old Matthew Garcia from North York, now faces charges of robbery, disguise with intent, and assault with intent to resist arrest.

However, the saga is far from over as the authorities are actively seeking the public’s help in identifying the two remaining suspects who managed to flee the scene in a white Honda Civic, absconding with a cache of stolen cell phones. The second suspect is also a black male, approximately 6’0″ tall, with a slender physique, donning a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants featuring white stripes on the thighs, and white or grey running shoes.
