Accident – Death – Obituary News : Pictures have emerged showing killer nurse Lucy Letby smiling with friends on a hen do just a day before she committed the heinous act of murdering her first tiny victim. The group, comprised mostly of nurses, can be seen posing on Lendal Bridge in York, with Letby at the forefront of the party in a stylish black floral dress and matching clutch bag. Wearing badges to mark the occasion, they visited several bars in the city before ending up at Vodka Revolution.

Despite the seemingly joyous occasion, Letby returned to work the very next day on June 8, 2015, after agreeing to cover for a colleague. Shockingly, within just 90 minutes of clocking on at the unit, she had already murdered a little boy, only identified as Baby A. The innocent child, who had been born prematurely weighing 3lbs 12oz, tragically lost his life after Letby injected him with air. Letby callously informed a colleague that the boy had died unexpectedly, describing the heart-wrenching scene of the father on the floor crying and pleading not to take their baby away.

Just a day later, Letby attempted to murder Baby A’s twin sister, Baby B. Months after these horrific acts, she carried out disturbing Facebook searches on the babies’ parents. Letby was eventually found guilty in August of murdering seven children and attempting to kill six others. The jury, however, failed to reach a verdict on the attempted murder of a premature girl known as Baby K, but a subsequent conviction was made on this count on Tuesday.

One of Letby’s friends who was with her on the hen do was her colleague Janet Cox, who, like everyone else on the unit, was entirely unaware of Letby’s crimes. Despite the overwhelming evidence against her, Mrs. Cox maintains her belief in Letby’s innocence and attended every day of her second trial. She briefly spoke at the front door of her home in Ellesmere Port, confirming her continued support for her friend.

Letby, now 34, holds the dubious title of Britain’s most prolific baby killer in modern times, with the murder of seven infants and attempted murder of seven more between June 2015 and June 2016. Cheshire Police continue to investigate her for potential crimes against babies from even earlier in her nursing career. Letby’s friends and colleagues, including Dawn Howe, staunchly stand by her, refusing to accept the jury’s verdict and maintaining her innocence.

As the investigation continues, officers are meticulously reviewing the medical records of 4,000 babies at two hospitals where Letby worked between 2012 and 2016. The severity of Letby’s crimes led to a sentencing of 14 whole life orders in August, with a 15th almost certain to follow after her latest conviction for callously dislodging the breathing tube of a defenseless infant. Letby’s actions have shocked the nation, and her friends’ unwavering support only adds to the chilling and disturbing nature of this tragic case..
