A young male has been taken into custody in connection with the tragic passing of a 17-year-old female whose body was discovered by a sanitation worker in Tennessee last week.

Trinity Bostic, aged 17, had been missing from Macon County since June 29, as per the Hendersonville Police Department.

On July 3, a contractor working for the state Department of Transportation stumbled upon her remains while collecting refuse near a road in Hendersonville, as stated by police on Facebook.

The teenager was identified as Bostic, and authorities suspected foul play in the incident.

On July 6, a 17-year-old youth from Westmoreland was apprehended in connection to Bostic’s tragic demise. The individual has not been publicly named by law enforcement.

The nature of the relationship between the teenager and Bostic remains unclear.

The juvenile is currently in custody at Sumner County Detention and faces a charge of first-degree murder. The investigation into this tragic event is ongoing, according to the police.

Bostic’s funeral is scheduled for this week, and a GoFundMe campaign has been established by her classmates to assist her family with the funeral expenses.

She has been described as a vibrant, compassionate individual who had a promising future ahead of her, as reported by FOX17.

Her friend Kathy Duffer mentioned that Bostic was enthusiastic about completing her education. Bostic was employed at Walmart, and she enjoyed music, fashion, and assisting her father at his car repair shop.

“She was a very bright girl. She was intelligent, hardworking,” Duffer remarked. “She had a kind heart and was always willing to help others.”
