A tragic incident occurred in LaPorte County early this morning as 62-year-old George Dobos of Westville lost his life in a devastating crash at the intersection of State Road 2 and County Road 500 West.
The fatal accident took place around 5:25 a.m. when a Kia travelling west on State Road 2 veered off the road and collided with a tree at the northwest corner of the intersection.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but Dobos was pronounced dead upon their arrival.
The LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office has initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the crash and gather more details surrounding this tragic incident.
