The individual who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident in Old Louisville on Sunday has now been officially identified as Eric Taylor.
According to the coroner’s report, Eric Taylor, aged 54, was riding his motorcycle northbound on Fourth and Hill streets just before 5 p.m. when the fatal collision occurred. Reports from the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) indicate that Taylor ran a red light and collided with an SUV at the intersection.
Following the incident, Taylor was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of medical professionals, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The LMPD has since classified his death as accidental.
The LMPD’s Traffic Unit has commenced a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine the sequence of events and any contributing factors.
